Nehemiah 1-6

Lots of people help Nehemiah rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

SAY THIS

Who is good?
God is good.

Morning Time

When you go into your child's room, say, "Good morning! The sun came up! God is good! We have breakfast waiting for us to eat! God is good! We have clothes to wear today! God is good! I love you, and you love me! God is good!"
 

Drive Time

As you drive or take a walk, look for helpers. It can be anything from road workers to truck drivers to police officers to neighbors working on their lawn. Talk about how lots of people helped Nehemiah fix the city wall, and God gives us lots of people to help us too. God is good.

Cuddle Time

Cuddle with your child this month and pray, "Dear God, thank You for giving (name of child) to me. I love being (his, her) (mom/dad/relationship). Thank You for our family—for (name family members). Help us to love each other the way You love us. You are so good, God. We love You very much. In Jesus' name, amen."
 

Bath Time

Add some plastic cups or blocks to bath time. Encourage your child to build with them on the edge of the tub. Talk about how God sent people to help Nehemiah fix the city wall, and God sends people to help us too. Talk about some of the people who help you and your child. God is so good!
