Our friend, Kim, had been having car problems for a while. Her tires seemed to always be low on air, which made it difficult for her to travel anywhere she needed to go. Serve the City (STC) Volunteers Paul, Jeff, and Brian helped her out a number of times by putting air into the tires.
On July 25th Kim texted our STC Nicholasville leader Lisa stating she was in a tough situation. Her granddaughter had been having a series of seizures and needed to see specialist at the Children's Hospital in Cincinnati on August 1st. Her car was extremely unreliable and she had no way of getting her there unless her tires were changed.
Brian inquired to discover if the church could help out in any way. The next day Lisa was excited to let her know that, in fact, the church partners with S&S Tire as they fixed up cars at Helping Through Him. And, to Kim’s great relief and excitement, that they would be able to provide her with two new tires! In Kim’s words, "This is God's perfect timing!"
Later that day Lisa and Brian discovered that someone had anonymously paid for the other 2 tires! Lisa contacted Kim and, after delivering the good news, heard her exclaim, "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! I am so relieved and God has answered prayer. Please thank whoever needs thanked for me. You guys totally ROCK!"
I’m thankful these families allow us to spend time with them on Monday nights. I’m thankful for whoever this anonymous person is. I’m thankful for volunteers like Lisa and Brian who extend their lives so that others may find hope.
