Happy Birthday!

Put on the dance music. Get out the noisemakers and the party hats. It’s celebration time! What? It’s not your birthday? Sure, it is. You’ve placed your faith in Jesus. You’ve been baptized to show that faith to God and to the world. You’re a brand new person, born into a brand new life. Now you have two birthdays, the day you were born in your body and the day you were born again in your heart. On that new birthday, God gave you a gift. It’s called eternal life. Remember, God is your Dad in heaven. He loves when you spend time with Him. So make your time with God a daily habit and have fun getting to know Him more each day. Now that you’re done with this book, ask a grown-up to help you find another devotional or start a Bible reading plan to help you spend time with God. Also, don’t forget your Dad in heaven has a big job. He is the Creator and King of the universe, and He is on a mission to share His love with the world. That’s where you come in. Your Dad in heaven invites you to join Him in His work by loving people around you and using your talents to tell the world about Him. So each day hang out with God and ask Him how you can be a part of what He is doing today. Then keep your eyes open for wherever God may give you the chance to help someone and show them how much they matter to Him. Have an amazing adventure each day as you follow Jesus and grow closer to Him!
