BIG: Hallelujah
By: Shaun Denney
1 minute read

Revelation 19:8 “She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear.” For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people. (NLT)

The Gospel propels our deepest worship, and THIS is the Gospel: You and I were separated from God, dead in our sins, but God, who is rich in mercy and grace, made us alive when He raised Christ Jesus from the dead. The result of this? A beautiful exchange… our sin for His righteousness. Or as John put it, receiving the finest of pure white linen to wear. I can’t think of a better reason to shout, “Hallelujah!” than realizing all my sins have been forgiven because Jesus paid the debt I owed to God.

No matter what is going on in our lives today, we can praise God. Because even if we struggle with sickness, joblessness, a broken relationship, or a hundred other trials in this world, our greatest problem has been taken care of—our sins have been forgiven! And because our sins are forgiven, we can have a relationship with God. That is something to sing about!

Have you recently stopped to take time and consider what Jesus has done for you on the cross?

Each day this week, I’m going to link a worship song. Take a few minutes to listen and turn your eyes upon Jesus!
