Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (NIV)

Honesty is always a great starting point. I take a deep breath every time I say something like this. Because it might make you mad at me. But that’s okay because I didn’t make the rules.

#truthbomb: There aren’t, in fact, many pathways to God. And God the Father isn’t exactly tolerant on this point. He says there is one Name, one Person, one Way to Him. One. And only one. Jesus. Jesus is the dividing line, friends. You can talk about loving God all day. But without naming Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior, and King of your life, freedom is a worthless pursuit. Without Jesus, you are fighting a battle that only surrender can win.

Further, I will tell you that unless you have chosen Christ as your Savior, the joys of finding freedom from the bondages that have hindered and withered your life, living the full and free life God intends for you, and walking out in the mission He has ordained for you cannot happen.

So on Day 1, let’s start with an honest assessment.

  • Have you given your heart, mind, and body to Jesus Christ?
  • Have you believed that He is the Christ, the Messiah sent to Earth for your salvation?
  • Have you repented of the role sin has played in your life?
  • Have you confessed that He is indeed the Son of the living God, your Savior, and your friend?
  • Have you chosen to complete the obedient step of baptism, aligning your life with Christ?

One question remains: If not, why not? What are you waiting for?

Jesus didn’t wait until you got all cleaned up to come to you. He came. He saw. He ran toward the Cross. And you were on His mind the whole way.

We’d love to talk with you about this. For more information on this, check out southland.church/baptism. To speak to a pastor, call 859-224-1600. While you're here, take a listen to this song.
