Georgetown Campus Note

What comes to mind when you hear the word “community”? For me, I’ve had several different experiences over the years. I’ve been on sports teams, participated in group projects, lived in a college dorm, and stayed with families who were generous enough to house a poor youth pastor. They have all taught me different ways to interact with, love, and be loved by other people. But the most life-changing form of community I have been a part of is when I circle up with a group of fellow believers on a regular basis with the purpose of knowing Jesus better.

It is because of these life-changing circles of people that I now am a Groups Pastor! And this Summer, I want to invite you into a Southland Group so you can experience that same community. This week we are launching our Summer Groups and we have several great opportunities for you to join in!

The groups I am most excited about for this summer are our Outreach Groups. Each of these groups teams with one of our local ministry partners to help bring hope to people in our community! We have a group serving the Amen House to help prepare their space to feed hundreds of families each month. There is a group serving with Not Alone Pregnancy Center to help care for babies, new moms, and soon-to-be moms. We have a group that packs backpacks of food to give to students in need at Lemon’s Mill Elementary. And the goal is to have so many more groups like this!

If you want to be a part of a life-changing community like this, visit our Groups directory at or reach out to me to learn more about our opportunities here in Georgetown.
