Sunday

What we're studying & applying in our daily lives...

Jon Weece | Jul 14, 2019

Have you ever spent time with someone whose ego was too big for the room they were standing in? All too often pride creates a spiritual blindness that causes people to think they’re better than the majority of people they interact with on a daily basis. In this message, we will learn how to develop a healthy perspective on our place and value in the Kingdom of God.

A word from your campus pastor

A few weeks ago, we welcomed Mandy King as our new Children’s Pastor at the Nicholasville Campus! Mandy and her family have been attending the Nicholasville Campus for 10 years. We’re so glad she’s leading the effort at our Campus to help all of our children learn about Jesus in an environment called The Big Picture Show. Give Mandy a shout and welcome her soon!

One of my favorite books of the Bible is Nehemiah. I love Nehemiah because we read about a man who was a person of action. He’s away from home, working what might have been a dream job. But when he hears about the poor conditions his people are facing back home, he prays and returns to Jerusalem to help rebuild a broken city. Nehemiah saw a need so he met a need. He allowed the need to drive him to compassionate, courageous action—and the city was restored!

We have a real need at the NIC Campus right now. That is for at least 50 adults to sign up to serve in our Children’s Ministry. Mandy has worked hard to put together this list so you can see the needs AND discover more about what it means to serve in our different volunteer roles. Could you serve with us? Do you know someone who could? You don’t have to be a Children’s Pastor to serve with us, you just need to have a big heart and a willingness to help!

I’ll see you Sunday as we kick off a new series, Revolution. Have a great week!
