We believe Southland Students is that place for every student as they encounter Jesus and His church.
We want students to know they’re loved and cared for. We want them to see that their identity
is in Jesus, not in their snaps, tik toks, or stories. Our goal is simply this: We want students to
know Jesus and to follow in Him. Ultimately we want students not just to find a place to belong here at
Southland Students; we want them to live with Jesus on a daily basis, in community with their Small Group,
and on a mission to unleash a revolution of love in the homes, schools, teams, and wherever they go!
Every week we spend our first hour in Large Group. Large Group at Southland Students is designed to create
opportunities for memorable moments, engaging worship, solid biblical teaching, and chances to respond to the Gospel.
We connect relevant Scripture with our students’ everyday lives and issues, so they can learn how to respond as a
follower of Jesus. Students are always encouraged to invite friends to join them!
During our second hour, every student meets with their Small Group. Each Small Group is broken up by gender
and grade. These are led by the same adult leader(s) every week, so students have a consistent mentor guiding
them in their relationship with Jesus. We don’t ever want a student to stay anonymous in our ministry, so we
surround them with other students and leaders who know their name and their story. Small Groups are huge for
us because we truly believe that learning and growing together leads to more healthy, Christ-filled lives!
