ALLERGIES

There is a specific required form that you will need to fill out if you have any severe food allergies. This form will go straight to Cedarmore’s kitchen staff and they will work with your student individually as needed. The link is included with the waivers, but you can also fill it out here (Cedarmore Waiver & Allergy Form) if you have not yet done so.

Allergy options will be provided at every meal, but if you have specific allergy concerns, please feel free to contact the camp’s Food Service Manager (Jesse Benson) at jbenson@gocrossings.org.

CANCELLATION POLICY

We do not offer refunds for this event. Once you have registered, we secure the student’s place at Fall Retreat. From there, we make appropriate arrangements and purchases for them to be there, so we are unable to provide refunds.

SMALL GROUP LEADERS

FAQ

What kind of supervision will be at High School Fall Retreat?

High School students will attend Fall Retreat with their small group, which is always supervised by their Small Group Leader. If your student’s Small Group Leader is not attending High School Fall Retreat, they will be given a trained and background checked adult as their leader for the weekend. There will also be Southland Staff Members present for the full duration of the event who will be there to help supervise.

Where do I drop off my student?

  1. You can drop your student off at their home campus around 6PM on Friday, October 22, 2021. They will load charter buses and will ride the buses to Cedarmore. You will be able to pick up your student on Sunday, October 24, 2021 around 2:30PM.
  2. If your specific campus varies from these details in any way, you will be notified by your Campus Student Pastor.

What are student to leader ratios?

Our goal is to have a student to leader ratio of 6:1 (six students to every 1 leader). We not only have at least one adult leader assigned to each student small group, but we also bring along extra Southland Staff Members and additional adult volunteer leaders to help supervise.

What does my student need to bring?

  1. A max of one suitcase and one carry on per student
  2. Clothes for three days
  3. Toiletries
  4. A bible
  5. Pen/pencil
  6. Journal
  7. Athletic wear if your student desires to participate in any pick up sports, camp games, or other outdoor activities
  8. Close toed shoes
  9. Bedding or a sleeping bag for a twin XL bed
  10. Pillow
  11. Water Bottle
  12. Cash for on site coffee shop

What if my student needs to arrive late or leave early from High School Fall Retreat?

We know and understand that students are busy and we want to make sure that every student can participate in High School Fall Retreat. With this being said, we strongly discourage students from arriving late or leaving early from the event. If a student needs to miss a section of High School Fall Retreat for a previously scheduled event, please contact your Campus Student Pastor to discuss options.

Is there financial assistance?

If there is financial hardship within your family, and financial assistance is needed, there may be some assistance available. Please contact your campus student pastor for next steps.

How do I make payments?

The full event cost is due at the time of registration and is nonrefundable. If you are interested in financial assistance, please refer to the FAQ above regarding financial assistance.

What will my student do if they have severe food allergies?

  1. If your student has severe food allergies, please fill out Cedarmore Waiver & Allergy Form. This form will go straight to Cedarmore’s kitchen staff and they will work with your student individually as needed.
  2. Allergy options will be provided at every meal, but if you have specific allergy concerns, please feel free to contact the camp’s Food Service Manager (Jesse Benson) at jbenson@gocrossings.org.
