Southland, we are so excited to see you soon! We know there will still be time and process before things are fully back to “normal,” but we’re grateful to take a step in that direction and gather in the same building again! Our goal is to provide the safest, healthiest, most touchless experience possible for you so we can continue worshipping together. We hope the following information can provide some clarity and comfort as to what you can expect on Sunday.
Campuses and Service Times:
Below are our service times at each campus
Nicholasville: 9:30a | 11:15a
Lexington: 9:30a | 11:15a | 6p
Georgetown: 9:30a | 11:15a
Danville: 9:30a | 11:15a
Richmond: No services at this time. Please stay tuned for updates!
Before you attend:
Be thoughtful as you return to Southland; if you are sick or have been sick within 24 hours, please participate in services from home through our online campus or live service on ABC 36. Additionally, if you have a health condition that makes you more vulnerable or if you are over the age of 65, we would encourage you to participate from home as well at this time. You can visit the Center for Disease Control’s website to read more about who is at a higher risk.
Our precautions and protocol:
For those who are healthy and feel comfortable attending, we encourage you to wear a mask during your visit. Our volunteers will be happy to provide a mask or take a temperature for guests. We will also have plenty of hand sanitizer available, as well as marking the floor throughout our buildings to encourage a safe social distance of six feet. Bathrooms will operate with social distancing in mind. Air dryers have been removed. We encourage you to wear masks, and our Guest Experience team will be wearing masks. Our team will also be cleaning common area surfaces before, between, and after services.
Each venue is set for a reduced capacity of a typical Sunday, and rows have been removed to provide extra distance. We ask that you only sit with those you share a household with, and leave three seats between your family and another family. We will forgo our traditional greeting time, create a touchless drop-off spot for offering, and continue celebrating communion in our homes at this time. We will give dismissal direction at the end of service so we can allow everyone to leave in an orderly and distanced fashion.
Other Sunday Ministries:
While Access ministries will still be closed at this time, we are beginning to incrementally reopen Children’s environments. As of June 28, Drive-In and Backlot (grades K–5) will be open with limited availability. The remainder of our Children’s environments will remain closed, but stay tuned for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Our cafes will be closed at this time.
We encourage the continued use of the text-to-pray number, as our Prayer Team and Prayer Rooms will not be available at this time. You can contact your Campus Pastor if you are interested in being baptized.
We will continue to offer our service experience through our online campus at 10a and 11:30a at southland.church/online or Facebook Live, as well as live at 10a on ABC 36. We will also continue to offer our children’s services online on Sundays as well, at 9a and 9:30a.
As this is all subject to change as we receive more direction and information, we encourage you to connect with us on social media and return to this webpage for any and all updates.
Thank you so much for being a part of our Southland family; we’re so excited to see you!
