Undisputed — Over All The Earth - Friday
Today’s Verse
Matthew 28:20
…I am with you always, to the end of the age. (ESV)
If you’ve kept up this week you might be saying, “So, what you’re telling me is, if I follow Jesus, my family might die, I might get beaten up, shipwrecked, thrown in jail, or even have my head cut off? No thanks!”
My answer? Probably not — but maybe.
Let’s look at it another way. What do you do for a living? Does it bring you fulfillment? Happiness? Is there any risk involved? And if so, is the fulfillment worth the risk? If you’re a teacher, firefighter, police officer, family therapist, or pastor, you might say, “Yes, it’s worth it. I help people.”
Taking the message of the Gospel to the world is a risk, but it’s so worth it. Remember, God sent His Son, Jesus, to die a criminal’s death to pay the price for your sin and mine. A penalty that would have cost us everything, but instead, Jesus paid it freely. Then, through the resurrection, He broke the power death had over us. Death is not the end. We have a future beyond it, and because of that, we no longer have to fear it.
So, what’s it worth for the rest of the world to know this?
It’s worth everything.
And here’s the really good news: we don’t have to do it alone. God promised to be with us forever. He’ll tell us what to do, what to say, and we get to leave the results up to Him.
It’s so exciting to get to partner with the God of the Universe to share the Good News of His Son!
