Elder Nominations and Budget
New Board of Elder candidates
DANIEL GROVES
Daniel has been married to Danelle for 21 years; they are blessed with two young men – a UK freshman and an LCA senior. Southland has been his church home since 1989, and he’s served here in numerous ways over the decades, including as an Elder member and chair. He owns a technology company which he founded over 15 years ago, and he’s grateful for how God has blessed this journey. He loves spending time with his family traveling, snow skiing, playing baseball, working, and living. Most importantly, he loves God’s Word, and he’s striving to point his boys and others to Jesus. Serving God by serving Southland is a joy and blessing…he can’t wait to see how God continues to use him.
REECIE STAGNOLIA
Reecie and his family have worshiped at Southland since 1990. He has previously served as an elder and currently serves on the prayer team, the Together for the Mountains board, the church planting team, and the Refuge Clinic Board. His wife Kathi has a passion for serving as a volunteer at Natalie’s Sisters. Their adult children, Matthew (Emily) and Kaitlyn (Dale), have recently blessed them with 2 grandkids. He enjoys all things UK sports and a great cup of coffee. Reecie enjoys seeing the life change that happens in families when they have a real encounter with the real Jesus.
TROY TURNER
Troy has called Southland home for more than 30 years and has served in a variety of roles throughout that time. His wife, Bobbi, has been involved at Southland for over twenty years. Together they have five daughters and five grandchildren. Born and raised in Lexington, Troy works in real estate development and loves investing in the community he grew up in. What defines Troy most isn't his work or his years at Southland, but the grace that found him.
