SLONE SCHOLARSHIP

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED, HERE ARE SOME THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Please note that your application is not complete and will not be considered for a scholarship award unless we receive the following before May 1, 11:59 p.m. EDT.

  1. Completed Scholarship Application

  2. Reference letter. (Copy and paste the below link and send to the person providing a reference. This person should be on staff or a volunteer at Southland):

  3. Email your most recent grade report/transcript to Aaron Sexton (asexton@southland.church).

ELIGIBILITY

  • The applicant must be active at Southland Christian Church for a minimum of one year prior to submitting their request for financial assistance for Christian education.

  • The applicant must be of good Christian character.

  • The applicant will be considered based on need and scholarly effort.

  • The applicant must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student except for students pursuing graduate work or continuing education.

  • The applicant must be enrolled in an approved Christian Post-Secondary Education Institution or a Christian Liberal Arts Education Institution as determined by the Scholarship Committee.

If your college offers a Church Match program and you wish to participate, you must inform the committee and provide the appropriate paperwork for your college. We cannot guarantee that the award will reach their office before the college’s set deadline.

Scholarship award amounts vary depending on the number of applicants and the total amount available for awards.
