Being a Christ-follower in today’s culture can be a challenge. To put it simply, it may be a quick path to hatred from certain people. But there is hope and a promise from Jesus.

When someone hurts us, there is a temptation in our hearts to want to pay them back. Revenge is a common but unhealthy and potentially destructive response to pain. Learning to trust God to be our defenders is an important skill to develop in the process of forgiving those who have wronged us.
