Isaiah 9:6 | A counselor comes alongside someone in their time of need and imparts truth and wisdom. In a culture saturated with counselors we have the perfect counselor in and through Jesus who came alongside us in our time of need. Who can we come alongside during this Christmas season?

Ecclesiastes 12:13 | Solomon had everything the world uses to measure success and he had more of it than anyone has ever had and referred to it as “chasing after the wind.” We are not in control of life’s outcomes, but we can control our faithful pursuit of following Jesus each day.

Psalm 139 | Who’s the wisest person you know? Our answer to that question probably includes education, insight, emotional intelligence, and breadth. God’s knowledge is unlimited and incomprehensible. He learns nothing because He knows everything. When we fail to acknowledge truth we can’t make sense of the world and we lose a firm foundation to live on. When Jesus tells us that the truth will set us free He’s making a promise that if we anchor our lives in Him we will experience the freedom we long for.

Proverbs 11:14, 12:15, 15:22, 19:20, 25:11, Colossians 4:6, I Thessalonians 5:11 | The Bible says, “A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver.” Few things are more helpful than an encouraging word. Solomon said, “There is wisdom in a multitude of counselors.” In this message we will examine how giving and receiving truth spoken in love can bring healing into our lives.
