FAQs

  • Middle School students will attend the Middle School Winter Retreat event with their small group, which is always supervised by their Small Group Leader. If your student’s Small Group Leader is not attending Middle School Winter Retreat, they will be given a trained and background checked adult as their leader for the weekend. There will also be additional adult volunteers and Southland Staff Members present for the full duration of the event who will be there to help supervise.

  • Our goal is to have a student-to-leader ratio of 6:1 (six students to every 1 leader). We not only have at least one adult leader assigned to each student small group, but we also bring along extra Southland Staff Members and additional adult volunteer leaders to help supervise.
