You Don’t Have What it Takes
Sometimes it seems that all the odds are stacked against us because of where we’ve come from or what we’ve done. In John 4 Jesus engages in conversation with a Samaritan woman whom most people would’ve considered an outcast beyond fixing. In this message we’ll see how God can redeem even the worst about ourselves and give us a new beginning.
You Can Fix Yourself
Paul candidly discusses his inability to overcome his sinful nature in Romans 7; then in Romans 8, he lays out a plan for success. It’s a plan that all of us need to understand and implement in our lives. In this message, we’ll talk about how to emerge from the “law of sin” and embrace the “law of life” and the victory that is ours in Christ.
You Deserve to Be Happy
We live in an entitlement culture. Most people believe that there’s a long list of things they need to be happy. They also believe they’re entitled to everything on their list. The Bible has a lot to say about that. In this message we’ll look at a list of things we’re not entitled to. You may be surprised!
You’ll Never Change
Opinions are everywhere these days. It seems that everyone has one about something, many of which are adversarial and argumentative. A quick glimpse at social media bears that out. This raises some questions: “Does everyone’s opinion matter? Which opinions should we embrace, and which are best ignored?” In this series, we’ll examine common opinions about crucial areas of our lives, then place them alongside Biblical truth (God’s opinion) and see what makes the most sense.
You Should Just Give Up
At one point in his ministry, the Apostle Paul considered John Mark a failure; so much so that he dismissed him as a traveling companion. There were a lot of people who surely advised John Mark to “just give up,” but God had other plans. In this message, we’ll take a look at John Mark’s restoration and happy outcome.
