Southland AFter-School

Our goal is to provide a safe environment where middle and high school students can go at the end of their school day to socially connect, mentally engage, physically train, emotionally heal, and spiritually grow.

At Southland, one of our biggest goals is to look outside the walls of our campuses, identify the needs we see in our local community, and prayerfully seek out ways to invest in our neighborhoods.

In recent years, we’ve noticed a growing population of students who are significantly impacted by the most prevalent cultural issues in our community. At the same time, this presents a unique opportunity for the Church to be a light in the darkness by coming alongside these students through mentorship, coaching, and relational investment in addition to what they receive from the school system.

After-School

About

The After School Team

Our After School program at the Lexington Campus is powered by a dedicated team of mentors, coaches, tutors, and versatile volunteers, all committed to making a difference in students' lives. These passionate individuals work tirelessly to introduce students to Jesus, ensuring each child feels seen, cared for, and truly valued.

This is where you come in! Are you passionate about impacting young lives and helping students discover their worth in Jesus? Join us as a volunteer!

Meet Ariea King,

a dedicated member of Southland who has served in various roles, including as an elder. Recently, Ariea has taken on the exciting challenge of leading our After School program. With years of experience in the educational system, particularly in supporting "at-risk" kids, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his new role! Ariea is also a devoted husband and father to three children.
