Special Needs

Everyone deserves a safe and welcoming place to connect with others and grow closer to Jesus, and individuals with special needs are no exception. Each person with a disability is unique, so our environments, groups, and events are designed to meet special needs of all kinds. We aim to empower individuals with special needs to know and understand their value and purpose in Christ.

Our Special Needs Ministry provides age and developmentally appropriate worship experiences where individuals can thrive in community and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

Kids
(Ages 4–12)

Southland Kids Special Needs environments are tailored for children ages 4–12. Each setting is designed to be safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate, helping children discover that they are loved and valued by God.

When & Where:

  • Danville – Sundays at 9:30am

  • Nicholasville – Sundays at 9:30am

  • Richmond – Sundays at 9:30am & 11:15am

  • Georgetown – Sundays at 11:15am

  • Lexington – Sundays at 11:15am

Adults & Teens
(Ages 13+)

Southland’s Special Needs Adult environments serve teens and adults ages 13 and older. These gatherings provide opportunities to worship, connect with peers, and grow spiritually in a supportive community.

When & Where:

  • Lexington – Sundays at 11:15am

  • Nicholasville – Sundays at 11:15am

  • Danville – Mondays at 5:30pm

    JESUS PROM

    Each year we throw a huge party called Jesus Prom to celebrate our friends with special needs. We invite all of the special needs community in central Kentucky to join us for this epic event, and through games, food, and dancing, we create an incredible experience that won’t be forgotten!
