Special Needs

Here at Southland, we love God and love people—and that includes people with disabilities!

Whether it’s physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities, we love our friends with special needs and see them as valuable members of our church community. You may have heard about the biggest party of the year we throw for them called Jesus Prom, but did you know we also have intentionally designed environments, groups, and other events for individuals with disabilities? Our goal is to create safe environments where they can be in community, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and understand their value and purpose just like everyone else. We even have a full-time staff member, Christina Smith, dedicated to championing our special needs community and being a resource for families!
