Southland Christian Church

Year in Review

2024

We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ.

GRATITUDE

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

Southland family, we’re so grateful for you!

This past year has been a clear reminder of what God can do when His people come together with a heart to love Him and serve others. Your faithfulness, generosity, and willingness to step up have made a difference in countless lives—right here in central Kentucky and beyond.

As a church, we’re committed to loving God with all we do and loving people right where they are, and you’ve embodied that mission in incredible ways. From serving our neighbors to showing up for each other, it’s been inspiring to see you answer God’s call to pray, give, serve, and grow in your faith.

Life change

This year, we’ve been inspired by countless stories of lives transformed as people discover and deepen their faith through bold steps taken towards baptism and in children and students learning about God’s love. Each service, lesson, and conversation guides us closer to Jesus, creating hope and purpose that will shape our state for generations to come.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

We’re here to support you in raising kids who genuinely love Jesus, understand the Bible, and care about others. To do this we offer Children’s services every Sunday during our 9:30am and 11:15am gatherings—so your kids can learn and grow in a fun and welcoming environment all their own.

We aim to create a space where students can truly feel belonging. Every student is challenged to discover their genuine identity in Jesus, beyond the trends of culture and influence of social media. Thanks to your generosity, we threw a huge party called Jesus Prom for individuals with special needs, provided meals through the Backpack Program, invested in local growth, and offered hope through the Dollar Club. Each of these efforts reflected God’s love in a tangible way and we couldn’t do it without you!

WHAT’S NEW?

This year brought exciting developments, from making strides on Richmond’s permanent campus to launching our After School program, and even teaming up with local hunters through a deer initiative to help feed hungry kids. Each new opportunity represents fresh ways we’re investing in our communities, offering chances for children and families to grow, learn, and experience God’s love in tangible, life-changing ways. We can’t wait to see what comes next!

RICHMOND CAMPUS

Excitement is building as we move closer to establishing a permanent Southland campus in Richmond! Around this time last year, the attendance in Richmond grew to about 800, and now we’re seeing nearly 950 people in 2024—God’s on the move in Madison County! More families are jumping into Children’s Ministry, Southland Students, and other opportunities, and we know the community is eager to see what a permanent campus will bring. With new partnerships forming among local schools, community groups, and families, we’re just getting started!

Southland AFter-School

Our goal is to provide a safe environment where middle and high school students can go at the end of their school day to socially connect, mentally engage, physically train, emotionally heal, and spiritually grow.
