Beach Week is a high-energy 5 day camp for high school freshmen through graduating seniors from all Southland campuses. The trip is a time for students to engage with God through powerful worship and teaching from God’s Word in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, from June 3-7. It also gives students the chance to have fun through many engaging outdoor beach activities (ocean activities, pool swimming, beach sports, etc.), and to connect with God and others through intentional group time and to be empowered to make a difference long after the event is over.

PRICING

$500 per student

Registration closed May 1, 2024

Price includes:

  • Transportation to and from your main Southland Campus to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

  • Meals

  • Programming costs

  • Beach activities and planned games

Extras that are not included in the price, but are available for purchase at an extra cost:

  • Southland Students & Beach Week merchandise ranging from $10-$35

  • Travel snacks (These will be purchased by the student during bus travel)

$100 registration deposit cost is non-refundable

Programming

The Sheraton in Myrtle Beach is connected to a conference center that will be used for the event. The conference center and small group spaces can be accessed through an internal connection between the hotel and the conference space.

SCHEDULE

Typical daily schedule (subject to change):

Morning - Breakfast, morning session, small group time

Afternoon - Lunch, free time on the beach/pool area

Evening - Dinner, evening session, small group time

There will be an opportunity in the registration to complete food allergy information. These questions are required for ALL participants to be able to complete registration and will be included in the registration process. Any severe allergies will be shared directly with the catering team at the convention center, and arrangements will be made accordingly.

If there is financial hardship within your family, and financial assistance is needed, there may be some assistance available. Please contact your campus’ Students team for next steps.

LEADER REGISTRATION

All adult volunteer leaders will need to register for this event separately. Please contact your Campus Student Team for a leader specific registration link.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If a conflict arises after you have already registered your student, you will be able to receive a refund of anything you paid that is over the deposit (the deposit is non-refundable) up until the registration deadline. Once the registration deadline has passed, you will not be permitted to receive any type of refund.

FAQs

  • You will drop off your student on June 3 at the Southland Campus that your student attends and will pick them back up on June 7. The specific time for pick up and drop off will be provided at the High School Beach Week trip meeting. Students will be taken to and from South Carolina on Charter Buses.

  • Students will be supervised by background checked adults as well as Southland staff. Our goal is to keep a 1:8 adult to student ratio.

  • A packing list and more details to get your student ready for the trip will be available in your confirmation email!

  • We know and understand that students are busy and we want to make sure that every student can participate. With this being said, we strongly discourage students coming late or leaving early from High School Beach Week. If a student needs to miss a section of High School Beach Week for a previously scheduled event, please contact your campus’ Student team.

  • If there is financial hardship within your family, and financial assistance is needed, there may be some assistance available. Please contact the Student Staff at your campus for next steps.

  • Deposit of $100 is due upon registration and is non-refundable. Remaining payments can be made through your Planning Center account using the email address you used to register.
